How heavy should my boxing gloves be?

I am 5'10", 165 pounds and just a beginner. I have boxed for 4 sessions now and find it very interesting. I do mitts always and sometimes the heavy bag. I plan to spar in the future. I want gloves that would last long as I am really interested in the sport. Thanks!
