My friend cant go to a concert with me?

Okay my favorite local band is having a farewell concert at a lodge in my city this saturday. Well this weekend my friend is visiting for the weekend and she's spending the weekend at my house. She said she would go see to it with me but her very protective mother won't let her. Its a christian rock band (her mom is huge with christian music), and my friend listen to like death screamo music. Her mom said she cant go because she doesnt like the band. This doesnt make sense. Before concert we were gonna go to a party. Should i just have my someone else go to the party with my friend that is visiting and go to the concert with someone who can go or should i just skip the concert all together?
