Is it possible that I get very jealous and possessive in a platonic relationship?

I care for him a lot but I am confused whether it's a romantic relationship when the thing I want the most was the physical action. It'd be nice too if he cares for me deeply like I do. Can this be considered platonic, at least, from my part? I know, it takes two to make up a relationship. Can it be that I am a platonic lover in this case and he's just treating me like a best friend?
